Hi I’m Paul, the owner and founder of Affiliate Gems, and I thought I would give some insight into why I created the site and my background.
My Background
I started my first online business back in 2012, an ecommerce business selling gold jewelry and ran that for 7 years but soon found the limitations of running an ecommerce business on my own (tied to the business!) and decided to wind the business down towards the end of 2019.
As I was winding the business down, I began looking for other opportunities as I didn’t want to go back to the 9-to-5 grind and that is when I discovered affiliate marketing and in December 2019, I launched my first affiliate marketing website around building ecommerce websites, as I had tried a lot of software in those 7 years.
Within a few months, the site was profitable and when combined with YouTube, the business was making me more money than I ever had from my ecommerce business and over the years since, I have launched a few more affiliate marketing sites with varying levels of success and that leads me on to…
Starting Affiliate Gems
One of the things I always struggled with when doing research for new niches was finding good information about the affiliate programs that were available for that niche, so I decided to start Affiliate Gems to help other affiliate marketers, whether they are bloggers (yes, I know how challenging that is these days!), YouTubers and/or social media influencers to find programs that fit their audience and business.
